As with every year in March, the music, the gunpowder smell and the people in the streets take over the city of Valencia and its metropolitan area. The falleros and falleras have been preparing for this great moment for a whole year.
From the 15th to the 19th of March, everything in the city is paralyzed, the streets are filled with people, both locals and foreigners, who bring this beautiful event to life. There isn’t an event like this in the whole world, in which the entire city is paralyzed and thousands of people navigate through it. If there is one rule of Fallas it is that you have to walk, a lot. If you want to see all the special section Fallas (the biggest ones), such as L’antiga de Campanar, Admiral Carso- Conde Altea or El Pilar, amongst others, you will have to put on a good pair of shoes and get ready to walk for several days.
Furthermore, of course, where there is Valencian tradition and culture, so is also our brand Arroz Dacsa. For many years we have been collaborating with this event. This year, there are more than 200 fallas that will use our rice in their typical paella contests. Curiously, a Valencian would never have paella for dinner, but at events like this, an exception is made and there are many falla commissions that organize their competitions when night falls.
However, you will not only find us in the paella contests, our Arroz Dacsa barriers are already synonymous with this celebration with hundreds of monuments fenced by them. Also, if you take a good look skywards, you will also find our banners and lights.
We still do not know which Falla will be the winner, but what we can say is that these 2019 Fallas will be unforgettable. For this reason, we want to thank all those commissions that trust us year after year and keep the Fallas alive.
